TO MAKE A CASH DONATION
CIS of Atlanta must raise more than $1.2 million annually to support its dynamic programs for Atlanta and DeKalb County youth and their families. Your financial contributions enable will enable CIS of Atlanta to reach more than 46,000 young people in 72 partner schools during the 2008-09 school year.

Your contribution supports meaningful and effective programs and services in CIS of Atlanta partner schools including:

  • Incentive programs to improve student attendance and behavior, and encourage parental involvment;
  • Scholarships to a variety of once-in-a-lifetime summer program opportunities for students to learn leadership skills;
  • Support for student-led service learning projects;
  • Emergency support for struggling families; and,
  • Professional development opportunities for CIS of Atlanta staff

TO MAKE AN IN-KIND DONATION
There are many ways individuals and organizations can make donations of products or materials to impact students and families in CIS of Atlanta partner schools. Below, are just a few suggestions:

In-kind donations to help families meet basic needs:

  • Clothing, coats, shoes, scarves, gloves
  • School supplies and personal hygiene products
  • Household goods

In-kind donations for use as student incentives:

  • Toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals
  • Hand-held electronic games
  • MARTA passes/tokens
  • Small electronics (CD player, AM/FM radio, clock radio)
  • Sporting Equipment
  • Tickets to sporting events, theatrical performances, concerts, museums, amusement parks
